    Perpustakaan umum kabupaten Bengkalis merupakan pusat informasi dimana disinilah tempat gudangnya ilmu berbagai jenis buku untuk berbagai jenjang usia semuanya tersedia disini sehingga diharapkan bisa diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja. Di dalam tugas akhir ini dibuat suatu sistem informasi perpustakaan on-line berbasis PHP dan SMS gateway yang mana memungkinkan pengguna untuk melakukan pencarian buku dan pemesanan peminjaman buku yang dilakukan melalui handphone (sms dengan format tertentu) dan komputer (web). Pemesanan peminjaman buku dimaksud untuk mempercepat proses peminjaman. Jadi, peminjam bisa langsung mengambil buku yang ada di perpustakaan tanpa masih harus mencarinya. Karena setelah melakukan pemesanan, petugas perpustakaan akan meletakkan buku tersebut ditempat khusus. Kata kunci : Perpustakaan online, PHP, MySQL, SMS Gateway

    “SEGMENTATION OF ANTI NEUTROPHIL CYTOPLASMIC ANTIBODIES (ANCA) IMAGES BASED ON WATERSHED AND WAVELET”

    Autoimmune disease is a type of disease where immune system unable to tell between the good side and bad side which lead to the misguided attack on the healthy cells and tissues. Autoimmune disease can be classified to more than 80 types depending on the affected area. The test also varies according to the suspected type of disease. Some examples of the test are Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) test, Indirect Immunofluorescence (IIF) test of Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) by using HeP-2 Cells and IIF test for Anti Neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibodies (ANCA). However in this project, author only focus on the ANCA images with two major staining patterns which are P-ANCA and C-ANCA. Currently the positivity of the images depends solely on the experience of the physician which led to variety of result and lack of reliability. Besides the time to get the result is time consuming. Thus an automatic classification system has been developed to overcome the manual process. The vital process inside the automatic system is the segmentation part. Many researchers suggest different techniques of segmentation to segment the ANCA images before being further processed. In this research, author focus on Watershed technique to segment the ANCA images by implementing the algorithm in Matlab. Author use Wavelet transform to suppress noise to avoid from over segmentation of the ANCA images. Using Rand Index method, the result of segmentations is verified. Combination of Watershed and Wavelet transform gives a very promising result. Recommendation for future work is to explore on automatic determination of noise variance inside images

    Sifat Daya Serap Air Dan Stabilitas Penyerapan Air Hidrogel Polimer Komposit

    Hydrogel polymer composite has been synthesized by using 10L scale reactor with batch systems. Hydrogel was synthesized by radical polymerization of a mixture of carboxy methyl cellulose, acrylic acid and methylene bis acrylamide as crosslinker. Hydrogel polymer composite was prepared by adding bentonite to polymer hydrogel. Swelling ratio which indicates of water absorption of hydrogel polymer composite was 60 g / g with a standard deviation of 6.2 %. Durability and stability tests for water absorption of hydrogel polymer composite for 15 days showed the swelling ratio is almost constant and hydrogel is quite stable and not broken down quickly. Effect of temperature and salt solution on water absorption as follow; the water absorption at higher temperatures lower than room temperature and the water absorption from the salt solution is lower than the water absorption of pure water. These results show the hydrogel polymer composite is sensitive to temperature and salt solution

    Application of polypropylene nanosilica as additives in water based mud to improve rheological properties and shale stability

    Drilling in swelling clay formation is rather challenging owing to the delicate formation of the wellbore. This is mostly because of the propensity of clay to swell when in contact with water. The high reactivity of swelling clays with water causes their constituents to swell and these can cause severe drilling problems, such as damage to the production zone. Potassium chloride (KCl) has been the most typical shale swelling control additive used to formulate WBM. However, at higher concentrations of KCl in WBM, the mud separates into two phases, which are liquid and sediments, and the swelling-control activity of the KCl is short-lived in WBM. A better efficient clay swelling-control additive, such as composite of polymer and nanoparticle, might be more effective. Therefore, in this study, the efficiency of synthesized polypropylene based nanosilica composite (PP-SiO2 NC) on clay swelling was carried out and its performance was compared to KCl mud and other types of water based mud. Samples of shale from Simpang Renggam shale formation were selected and tested for swelling behaviour over five different types of WBMs, which are (i) Basic mud (ii) KCl mud (iii) PP-SiO2 NC mud, (iv) Commercial SiO2 NP mud, and (v) Mixture of KCl and PP-SiO2 NC mud. At normal temperature 80°F and elevated temperature 250 °F, PP- SiO2 NC mud gave better results in the rheological properties such as gel strength, plastic viscosity, and yield point compared to other type of WBM. Improved shale swelling inhibition were achieved at a lower concentration (0.3 -1.0 g) of synthesized PP-SiO2 NC compared to 30g conventional KCl mud, which is required to attain its optimum inhibition level. 0.6g of PP-SiO2 NC based mud alone prove to be the best formulation as it only cause shale to swell up to 7.11% compared to KCl mud at 15.3%, mixture of KCl and PPSiO2 NC mud at 9.2%, and commercial SiO2 NP mud at 10%. Indubitably, the synthesized PP-SiO2 NC mud provide better in rheological properties at normal and elevated temperature and more efficient in minimizing clay swelling behaviour compared to other type of WBM and it has a higher propensity to prevent loss of filtrates into the formation

Saat ini belum ada tempat yang digunakan sebagai media untuk menyebarkan infomasi dan melakukan dokumentasi kegiatan pada organisasi kepemudaan pada Karang Taruna Kecamatan Bantan. Sehingga mengakibatkan semua informasi penting yang sedang terjadi pada karang taruna mengalami keterlambatan informasi atau pesan yang ingin di sampaikan kurang jelas dan lengkap serta dokumentasi dari setiap kegiatan tidak tekelola dengan baik. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk merancang dan menerapkan sistem informasi berbasis digital dalam mendukung transparansi dan akuntabilitas pengelolaan kegiatan karang taruna Kecamatan Bantan. Dalam proses rancang bangun sistem informasi ini menggunakan metode waterfall pemodelan UML (unified modeling language) serta menerapkan pengujian black box untuk tahapan pengujian sistem. Melihat kepada realiti semasa, satu pendekatan yang efektif dan signifikan amat diperlukan. Usaha memupuk akhlak yang baik di tengah budaya materialisme dan hedonisme, bukanlah satu tugas yang mudah.     DESIGN & FABRICATION OF AUTONOMOUS ROBOT FOR SECURITY MONITORING

    Nowadays, autonomous robots are widely used for various applications area from sciences and industries to military and security monitoring. Generally, the autonomous robot is capable to navigate on its own in a known environment. This can be implemented when robot can do its own decision making with having the movement mechanism and the environmental sensors to analyze the surrounding to perform the task with respect to requirement. This project focuses on designing and fabricating the autonomous robot for 24 hours security monitoring with less human intervention. This robot is equipped with microprocessor, sensing systems, and wireless camera for security monitoring. When the autonomous robot detects any safety related issues, the alarm on the robot will be triggered and at the same time the situation will be send to wireless camera for human monitoring to take any sufficient respond afterwards. 24 hours security monitoring robot is found to be a practical solution to be implemented for security purposed in order to make sure any safety issues is in controlled

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of corporate governance on public listed companies in Malaysia. There are 100 public listed companies are selected randomly from Bursa Malaysia main market. The period of the present study is from January 2007 until December 2009.The data has been collected from various sectors such as consumer,industrial, mining, construction, plantations, infrastructure ,real estate, trading and services. The director compensation has been chosen as a corporate governance’s variable while return on equity, net profit margin, sales growth, dividend yield and Tobin’s Q have been chosen as explanatory variables in this study. Based on the findings ,there are only three explanatory variables which are dividend yield, net profit margin and return on equity that are significant towards director compensation. The other two explanatory variables, net profit margin and sales growth are insignificant. In short, the study found that corporate governance in Malaysia can be explained by return on equity, dividend yield and Tobin’s Q for the period 2007 until 200
